Shogo Yoshii
Shogo Yoshii’s career began by listening to the pulse of the earth.
His journey has spanned decades—from early fieldwork in traditional folk performing arts and agricultural labor with the renowned group "Kodo" on Sado Island, to a twenty-year musical pilgrimage across the globe.
Amidst these arduous travels, folk musicians from distant lands listened to Yoshii’s sound and remarked: "The Earth is speaking through Shogo’s body."
Having witnessed countless moments where the boundaries of genre and nation dissolve, Yoshii has come to be known as a "voice for the Earth."
His work encompasses a vast spectrum—from *Gagaku* (ancient Japanese court music) and the *Shima-uta* folk songs of Amami, to musical direction for cutting-edge global brands.
Yet, the performances he creates
go far beyond a mere "introduction to Japanese culture."

吉井盛悟のキャリアは、大地の鼓動を聴くことから始まりました。
若き日の郷土芸能へのフィールドワーク、そして佐渡島「鼓童」での田んぼ作業やこれまで20年に及ぶ世界音楽巡礼。
その過酷な旅路の中で、異国の民族音楽家たちは吉井の音を聴き、こう評しました。 「地球がShogoの体を通して語りかけている」と。
ジャンルや国境という境界線が溶け落ちる瞬間に立ち会い続けてきた吉井の音楽は、いつしか「地球の声の代弁者」と呼ばれるようになりました。
